The Vitrano matt black soft close sliding shower door offers a clean and practical way to create an enclosed shower across a bathroom recess. Unlike a hinged door, the moving glass panel slides across the fixed section instead of opening into the surrounding room. This makes it particularly useful where available floor space is limited or bathroom furniture sits close to the shower entrance.
The soft close mechanism controls the final movement of the sliding panel, allowing it to close more gradually and quietly. This helps reduce sudden impacts during normal use. An eight wheel roller system supports the glass panel and has been tested through 100,000 opening and closing movements by the supplier.
Clear 8mm toughened safety glass gives the door a sturdy appearance while allowing light to pass through the showering area. The glass includes a NANO easy clean coating, which helps water and residue release more easily from the surface. Regular cleaning is still required, but the coating helps make ongoing maintenance more manageable.
The removable door design provides improved access to areas that can be difficult to reach during cleaning. Matt black profiles create a contemporary finish, while stainless steel screws provide corrosion resistance in the bathroom environment. The wall profiles offer up to 18mm adjustment at each side to help accommodate walls that are slightly out of true.
The door can be installed with the opening arranged on either the left or right hand side. It is designed for recess installation between two finished walls. A compatible shower tray, shower waste, shower valve and other fittings shown in lifestyle images are not included.
